Dr. Foster Mobley

Founder and CEO | Expanded Bio

Dr. Foster Mobley understands the challenges leaders face. For more than 30 years, he partnered with, and guided C-level business leaders to access their full leadership talent and potential to create breakthrough results. His groundbreaking approach, called Wisdom Leading™ has been shared with over 25,000 leaders in ten countries on five continents. His consulting and coaching practice lists some of the most respected business organizations in the world, such as Citicorp, DaVita, Deloitte, Disney, Nokia and United Technologies.

Foster is also a published author and dynamic speaker, sought to deliver keynote addresses on the various themes of leadership, culture, team development and organizational change. His current book in progress, titled Calling BS on Leadership, is a contrarian view to traditional thinking about leading people, and is scheduled for completion in late 2010. He's also working on a second book chronicling his experiences guiding athletic coaches, which culminated in two NCAA Championships in 2010, called The Coach's Coach.

Foster received his Bachelor of Arts from UCLA, and MBA and Doctor of Education degrees from Pepperdine University. He has served as adjunct faculty for various schools, including Pepperdine, University of San Diego and Antioch University.

Dr. Mobley's current research continues to investigate the relationship between high-performing teams and emotional intelligence. His most current research study will be completed by late 2010.

Matt Brubaker

Managing Principal | Expanded Bio

With over 14 years of professional experience Matt has a strong background in executive development, organizational assessment, conflict resolution and large-scale organizational change. He uses his broad experience in leadership development to help leaders develop both the skills and the presence they need to guide their organizations to breakthrough performance. Matt holds an M.A. in Dispute Resolution from the University of Massachusetts and will soon complete his Doctorate in Organizational Change from Pepperdine.

Previously, Matt served in strategic positions at Comcast Cable as the Director of Organizational Development, and as Principal of Terra Nova Partners. His work includes clients such as Alliance Imaging Corp., Bristol-Myers Squibb, DaVita, Microsoft, Vail Resorts Management Company, and Surgical Care Affiliates, as well as key leaders of strategic non-profit organizations. He is a member of the Academy of Management and the Organization Development Network.

Matt is the proud father of two lovely daughters, ages 4 and 7. Matt is also an avid athlete. When he’s not writing his dissertation, he is training for triathlons. Plus, his conversational fluency in Spanish facilitates his love of travel.

Dr. Kent Rhodes

Principal | Expanded Bio

In his 15 years of professional practice, Kent has created a successful legacy of helping leaders develop a deeper awareness of their impact on others, and how other people impact them. This understanding gives leaders the basic tools for a highly intelligent execution of their unique leadership that inspires individuals and teams to produce excellent results.

Kent’s areas of expertise include organization and leadership development, particularly within the contexts of organization change and conflict. His practice has included clients such as: The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The Orange County Register, DaVita, Globe Corporation, First Five California, Wilson Creek Winery, Arroyo Seco Medical Group, Sanmar, Inc. and DME, Inc.

Kent earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Lubbock Christian University before earning a Masters degree in Counseling from Texas Tech University and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. He is currently a Professor of Leadership and Ethics with Pepperdine University’s doctoral and MBA programs, and an Adjunct Professor of Conflict Management with the Pepperdine University Law School Institute for Dispute Resolution and Lipscomb University.

Cathy Gelb Mobley

Principal | Expanded Bio

With over 20 years of experience Cathy has helped thousands of executives including those at Microsoft, Nike, American Express, Visa, BP, DaVita, and Price Waterhouse Coopers. She also spent several years as a manager and consultant for The Forum Corporation, a world leader in training and development.

Her responsibilities for FMG clients include facilitating management, workshops and meetings, conducting leadership and sales training, employee interviews, and coaching executives on improving communication and presentation skills. Cathy’s pragmatic approach often involves deep discovery and challenging questions. She recognizes that each client has a life beyond the office.

She graduated cum laude from Tufts University with a BA in social psychology. She serves as a Chairman of the Board for The Kidney Trust and is a Board Treasurer of the Kids’ Global Outreach Foundation. She is also a trainer for the Positive Coaching Alliance and a member of the National Charity League.

Also a partner to Foster Mobley outside the office, Cathy and Foster have three children.

Christine Antonelli

Senior Consultant | Expanded Bio

Christine Antonelli specializes in leadership assessment and executive coaching for FMG. She also provides research services, interprets data from assessments and interviews, and produces reports and executive summaries. Her areas of expertise include identifying business trends and issues, competency modeling, assessment centers, 360° surveys, among others.

Some of Christine’s clients have included The Walt Disney Company, Alliance Imaging, Hallmark Cards, Nike, Deloitte, Dow Corning, ITT Industries, Siemens, and the US Coast Guard.

Christine brings balance to her own life through her relationships with her three sons and her husband. She loves to run and has completed several marathons. She makes time to connect with her community by volunteering for a community garden and with her children’s school.
