Q: What's one truth you've been avoiding whose resolution will give you freedom?
When at our best, we are often guided by our inner voice, the teacher who lives inside us directing us toward our true values, life experiences and intuition. It is a calm, clear and unmistakable guide.
While clear and calm, this voice is not gentle. If we're listening carefully, our wellspring of wisdom will also challenge and confront us - to address an addiction, to fess up to a lie, to have that painful conversation we've put off.
It takes a finely-tuned receiver to pull in these signals. Slowing down to self-reflect and practicing self-care are two of the most important things we can do to tune up our receivers. True freedom comes from listening to, and acting on our truths - not operating over the top of our messes.
